I am a CAPPA trained postpartum doula. I also have taken a breastfeeding support class through San Diego Breastfeeding society. Before becoming a postpartum doula, I cared for infants from birth and up as both a nanny and daycare infant teacher for over 8 years. I am infant and child CPR and first aid certified through the American Heart Association.
In light of COVID-19 pandemic, I am following state guidelines to ensure the safety of me as well as current, potential, and future clients. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me.
What is a postpartum doula?
A postpartum doula offers support for new moms or primary parent and their family during the first 12 weeks postpartum. We provide evidence based information for caring for a newborn, breast or bottle feeding, and physical recovery for moms. Along with informational support, we provide emotional and physical support for moms while they recover from welcoming their new baby(ies) into the world. We do not offer medical advice or preform medical procedures.
Postpartum Doula in-person Services
I offer day and night support for parents of singletons and multiples. My day shifts are 4 hours, and 6-8 hours for night shifts. For day shifts I provide parents evidence based tips on caring for a newborn(s) which include: bathing, swaddling, soothing techniques, feeding support, baby wearing, etc. I also support the mom physically by aiding her through her recovery by offering evidence based information, helping establish breastfeeding, meal prepping healthy snacks and meals, watching baby(ies) while mom naps or showers, organizing nursery, baby laundry, and light housework. Lastly, I offer emotional support for mom while she adapts to caring for a newborn(s). For night shifts I offer total awake care for the newborn(s) while mom and dad get extra sleep.
Postpartum Doula virtual services
I offer virtual support for mom and the rest of the family during the postpartum period. I provide parents evidence based tips on caring for a newborn which include: bathing, swaddling, soothing techniques, feeding support, and baby wearing through video meetings. Along with caring for a newborn(s) tips, I also offer breastfeeding or bottle feeding support, information for mom during her recovery period, and emotional support with regular video meetings. In addition to the video meetings, I also offer baby laundry services and errand runs.
**For both in-person and virtual services, I am available for phone call or text support from 2:00pm-4:00pm Monday-Friday.
Postpartum Doula Service rate is $20-35 per hour
